Our Launceston Team has fantastic role for an experienced accountant to grow their career in a practice that values internal advancement in a supportive team environment.
The Role
In this hands-on client facing role you will be working with a diverse client group within a talented and established team. You will focus on client relationships and building an in depth understanding of clients’ needs to deliver quality and exceptional service.
As a Senior Accountant with our Launceston team you will be responsible for:
- Working with the client manager to manage a portfolio of clients across a diverse range of industries
- Using your technical expertise across accounting and tax to deliver complex special purpose reports, annual financial statements, tax returns and reconciliations for companies, partnerships, and trusts
- Preparation of monthly management reports for client, cashflow statements and the construction of logical and accurate working papers
- Preparing budgets for client engagements
- Assisting in consulting matters including the provision of tax advice
- Providing guidance and support to junior team members through quality feedback and review, coaching and delegation.
As our new team member, you will have:
- Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) or similar undergraduate degree
- Completed professional certification – CA, CPA or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience (At least 2 years in public practice accounting)
- Demonstrated exposure to medium and large businesses with multiple entities
- Motivation and a commitment to self-development and career progression
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- A strong ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
